about obama's biography |

It took more than 200 years for democracy to show its full power. Even in 19th century the Supreme Court told Virginia State that its ban on interracial marriages is not as America constituted. And, now it proved the irony of that constitution by electing a child whose mother was "milk-white" (according to him) and fater was "black as pitch".
The story of Obama is the story of America or more powerfully it is the story of democracy. How racism was overcome in the election 2008 has showed this more clearly.
The democracy is a system, yet not perfect, but it has proven itself to be successful till now.
This story also tell how, belief, belief on their beliefs, rights, were clear in the minds of American people around 50 years ago. This education & understanding has brought America to be the state where racism does not stop one to do what he dreams.
Obama, in his book "Dreams from my father" quoted a story of his father when someone asked not to sit near a "nigger" and he gave that person a lecture on the universal rights of man and the American dream after that the man paid for the drinks of all the people in the bar. This story tells the depth of American dream in the minds of American and their belief on that dream.
